2024 SOFTBALL INFORMATION: 

U9 - Athletes born in 2015, 2016, 2017

  • Cost to Register - $110.00

  • Practice / Game Days - Tuesday / Thursday at the Haig School Diamonds 6:00 - 7:30pm (approx.)

  • Equipment Needed - Running shoes (cleats optional), ball glove, batting helmet with cage, fielding mask (optional), black pants (ball pants optional), blue sox, and hat.  

  • This is an introductory level of softball with modified rules. U9 is a hybrid of the player pitch where batters will see live pitches and pitchers will begin to learn how to throw a fast pitch. All players bat and will play a field position as well as be given the opportunity to try pitching and catching. 

  • The season runs from May through June.

  • In addition to house play, all players interested will have an opportunity to play on a U9 Weyburn Wild Tournament Team. There will be additional team fees associated with this team to cover tournament costs.

U11 - Athletes born in 2013, 2014

  • Cost to Register - $170.00

  • Practice / Game Days - Tuesday / Thursday mainly at Jubilee Park. If diamonds at Jubilee are booked some practices and/or games will then be played at the Haig School Diamonds. Times are 4:30 - 6:00pm (approx.) OR 6:30 - 8:00pm (appox.) depending on diamond availability.

  • Teams will join the Highway 39 Softball League and travel to surrounding communities like Estevan, Radville, and Ogema

  • Equipment Needed - Cleats (recommended) or Running shoes, ball glove, batting helmet with cage, defensive mask (optional), black pants (ball pants recommended), blue socks, belt, and hat.

  • The season is from May through June. League finals are scheduled to be played at the end of June.

  • In addition to house play, players will have an opportunity to try out for the U11 Weyburn Wild Provincial Team. Players selected for this team will be expected to be available for extra weekly practices, weekend tournaments, and the Softball Saskatchewan Provincial Championships at the beginning of July. There will be additional team fees associated with this team to cover costs.

U13 - Athletes born in 2011, 2012 

  • Cost to Register - $200.00

  • Practice / Game Days - Monday / Wednesday at Jubilee Park.

  • Teams will join the Highway 39 Softball League and travel to surrounding communities like Estevan, Radville, and Ogema

  • Equipment Needed - Cleats (recommended) or Running shoes, ball glove, batting helmet with cage, defensive mask (optional), black pants (ball pants recommended), blue sox, belt, and hat.  

  • The season is from May through June. League finals are scheduled to be played at the end of June. 

  • If there are players interested in attending Saskatchewan Softball Provincial Championships in July, a team may be formed to allow those who want the opportunity to have it. Additional fees would apply.

U15 - Athletes born in 2009, 2010

  • Cost to Register - $225.00

  • Practice Days- Monday / Wednesday - Please note that practice days and times may slightly vary depending on players/coaches and diamond availability.

  • Game days will be set at a league scheduling meeting. All efforts will be made to book games on Mondays and Wednesdays but game days will not be limited to just these days. In addition, double headers on a weekend may also periodically be booked.

  • The house team will join the local Highway 39 Softball League. If there are not enough teams for this league the house team will then join the Regina Minor Softball “B” League.

  • Equipment Needed - Cleats (steel cleats permitted), ball glove, batting helmet with cage, defensive mask (optional), black ball pants, blue socks, belt, and hat.   

  • The season is from mid-April through June. League finals are scheduled to be played at the end of June in a weekend tournament format. 

  • If there are players interested in attending Saskatchewan Softball Provincial Championships in July, a team may be formed to allow those who want the opportunity to have it. Additional fees would apply.

U17 - Athletes born in 2007, 2008

  • Cost to Register - $225.00

  • Practices- Monday / Wednesday - Please note that practice days and times may slightly vary depending on players/coaches and diamond availability.
