2024 BASEBALL INFORMATION:

Junior Rally Cap /Learn to Play - Athletes born in 2018, 2019

  • Cost to Register - $70.00

  • All LEARN TO PLAY players will be required to have a ball glove, batting helmet, cap and athletic shoes.

  • Practice / Game Days - option of Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday at Assiniboia Park School for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.

  • This is a fun opportunity for kids to get out and make new friends while being active and learning the fundamentals of baseball. The season runs throughout May and June.

  • Many parent volunteers are needed for coaches and helpers at this age.

 Senior Rally Cap - Athletes born in 2015, 2016, 2017

  • Cost to Register - $110.00

  • Practice / Game Days - Monday/ Wednesday at the Haig School Diamonds 6:00 - 7:30pm (approx.)

  • Equipment Needed - Running shoes (cleats optional), ball glove and batting helmet.

  • This is an introductory level of baseball with modified rules. Rally cap is a hybrid of player pitch where batters will see live pitches and all players will begin to learn how to throw a pitch. 3rd year rally cap players will pitch for the last month of the season. All players bat and will play all field positions as well as be given the opportunity to try pitching and catching. The season runs from May through June.

 

11U - Athletes born in 2013, 2014

  • Cost to Register - $170.00

  • Practice / Game Days - 7 days a week at Jubilee Park diamonds 2 and 3. Times are generally 5:30PM- 7:30PM depending on daylight. Each team can expect to see the field twice a week. Practices for house teams are generally scheduled Monday-Wednesday.

  • House teams will play in a local Weyburn league which also may include some small towns nearby.

  • Equipment Needed - Cleats (recommended) or Running shoes, ball glove, ball pants, batting helmet, bat.

  • The season is from May through June. League finals are scheduled to be played at the end of June.

  • In addition to house play, players will have an opportunity to try out for the U11 Weyburn Beavers AA Provincial Team. Players selected for this team will be expected to be available for extra weekly practices, weekend tournaments, and Provincial Championships at the end of July. There will be additional team fees associated with this team to cover tournament costs. This team will be selected toward the end of the season and all house players will have the option to try out.

  • There is also a AA/AAA team in the U11 division. This team will be selected after evaluations and will practice 2-3 times a week and play in the Regina AA or AAA league. This team requires a much higher commitment level by both the players and parents. There will be additional team fees associated with this team to cover tournament costs and general team expenses. 

13U - Athletes born in 2011, 2012

  • Cost to Register - $200.00

  • Practice / Game Days - 7 days a week at Jubilee Park Diamond 6 and/or Clark Park Diamond 1 House teams will be part of a local league that travels to surrounding communities like Milestone and Radville.

  • House teams can expect to see the diamond approximately twice per week.

  • Equipment Needed - Cleats (recommended) or Running shoes, ball glove, ball pants, batting helmet, bat.

  • The season is from May through June. League finals are scheduled to be played at the end of June.

  • In addition to house play, players will have an opportunity to try out for the U13 Weyburn Beavers AA Provincial Team. Players selected for this team will be expected to be available for extra weekly practices, weekend tournaments and Provincial Championships at the end of July. There will be additional team fees associated with this team to cover tournament costs. This team will be selected toward the end of the season and all house players will have the option to try out.

15U - Athletes born in 2009, 2010

  • Cost to Register - $300.00

  • Practice Days/Game Days- 7 days a week. Please note that practice days and times may slightly vary depending on players/coaches and diamond availability. Games will be played at Jubilee Park Diamond 1, practices will be at Jubilee Diamond 1 as well as Clark Park Diamond 1-3.

  • The house teams will join the Baseball Regina A League and the game schedule will be done by Baseball Regina. House teams can expect to see the diamond approximately twice per week.

  • Equipment Needed - Cleats (steel cleats permitted), ball glove, ball pants, batting helmet, bat. At the AA Tier 2 level and below, all types of baseball bats are approved at a max drop weight of -3. AA Tier 1 and up, only wood bats are permitted.

  • The season is from mid-April through June. League finals are scheduled to be played at the end of June.

  • In addition to house play, players will have an opportunity to try out for the U15 Weyburn Beavers AA Provincial Team. Players selected for this team will be expected to be available for extra weekly practices, weekend tournaments and Provincial Championships at the end of July. There will be additional team fees associated with this team to cover tournament costs. This team will be selected toward the end of the season and all house players will have the option to try out.

  • There is also a AA team in the U15 division. This team will be selected after evaluations and will practice 2-3 times a week and play in the Regina AA league. This team requires a much higher commitment level by both the players and parents. There will be additional team fees associated with this team to cover tournament costs and general team expenses. 

18U - Athletes born in 2006, 2007, 2008

  • Cost to Register - $300.00

  • Practice Days/Game Days- 7 days a week. Please note that practice days and times may slightly vary depending on players/coaches and diamond availability. Games will be played at Tom Laing Park, practices will be at Tom Laing Park as well as Clark Park Diamond 3 and hopefully at the new Clark Park diamond 4 at some point during this season.

  • The house teams will join the Baseball Regina A League and the game schedule will be done by Baseball Regina. House teams can expect to see the diamond approximately twice per week.

  • Equipment Needed - Cleats (steel cleats permitted), ball glove, batting helmet, ball pants, bat. Only wood bats are permitted at the U18 level.

  • The season is from mid-April through June. League finals are scheduled to be played at the end of June.

  • In addition to house play, players will have an opportunity to try out for the U18 Weyburn Beavers AA Provincial Team. Players selected for this team will be expected to be available for extra weekly practices, weekend tournaments and Provincial Championships at the end of July. There will be additional team fees associated with this team to cover tournament costs. This team will be selected toward the end of the season and all house players will have the option to try out.

  • There is also a AA team in the 18U division. This team will be selected after evaluations and will practice 2-3 times a week and play in the 18U SPBL AA league. This team requires a much higher commitment level by both the players and parents. There will be additional team fees associated with this team to cover tournament costs and general team expenses. Please note that at the 18U AA level, the league operates with 9 man ball rules. This means that not every player is going to play every game and there are no re-entries allowed. Once you are subbed out of a game, you are done for the game. Keep this in mind if you choose to play this level of baseball.
